Fairytale Lighting is a family-owned, woman-owned, and Black-owned business founded by Unique Mills and Scott Nickens in 2020. Born during the first COVID season and powered by a love for lights, family, and community — we create luxury lighting experiences rooted in creativity, legacy, service, and bringing magic to the world around us.
Our Story
Unique first introduced Scott to holiday lighting in 2016. This started as a seasonal job to bring in a few extra bucks to support their growing family and has become a shared passion — and a family business. Together, they homeschool their two children and 3 nephews, teach entrepreneurship and creativity through experience, and serve the same Los Angeles community they have the pleasure to call home.
